Changing the PVC cover
During usage, the PVC cover for the cutting roller will wear down and need replacement. Customers can either send the cutting roller to Beyer for replacment, or follow a four step process to change the PVC cover.
1. Use a fan to heat the cover for at least 10 minutes
2. Utilize a special tool with air pressure to reduce friction of the cutting roller and pull the cover
3. Make a first cut with the machine to have a perfect end of the cover
4. Pull the rest of the cover all the way to the end of the roller
Which cutting rollers to use for different belt length?
As a general rule, customers achieve better cutting results when using larger cutting rollers. Beyer recommends using the largest roller in stock, an only choose smaller diameters when necessarey
Small belts
Use a 22mm diameter cutting roller for all belt length between 160mm and 300mm
Medium belt length
Use either 40mm or 70mm diameter cutting rollers for all belts length between 300mm and 600mm
Long belts
Use 100mm diameter cutting rollers for all belt lenghts above 600mm
